ElevenLabs pricing in cost per minute
A minute of generated speech costs between $0.124 and $0.18 on ElevenLabs' app plans, depending on plan and billing. The pay-as-you-go API charges $0.072 a minute for its multilingual models and $0.036 for Flash/Turbo, less than any app plan.
Minutes assume about 900 characters of text per minute of speech (150 words a minute), the same pace we use for every vendor. The app charges 1 credit per character. ElevenLabs' own estimate is 1,000characters a minute, which would make every per-minute price here about 10% lower.

Annual billing charges ten months for twelve. Creator's first month is $11, which halves its first-month rate to $0.082 a minute. Unused credits roll over for up to two months, and your balance is capped at three times the monthly allowance.
From Pro upwards, every plan lands at about $0.149 a minute. Bigger plans mostly buy volume, seats and features rather than cheaper speech.
The API is cheaper per minute
API usage is billed in dollars per character, not in app credits. On its API pricing page ElevenLabs lists the$6 Starter plan as including 75,000 characters of v2 Multilingual speech. On the app pricing page, the same $6 buys 30,000 credits, which is 30,000 characters. If you can work through the API, or a tool built on it, you get more speech per dollar.

Transcription costs far more in app credits
Transcription in the app uses 330 credits per audio minute. On the Creator plan that works out to $3.60 per audio hour, and $3.27 on Pro. The Scribe v2 API lists $0.22 per hour. For transcription volume, the API is the better buy.
Dubbing
Dubbing in the app costs credits per minute of source audio:

The API lists dubbing per minute as: $0.33 (v1 automatic with watermark), $0.50 (v1 automatic), $0.50 (v1 Dubbing Studio) and $2.20 (v2).
